Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Details
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University has the leading position of Postgraduate Medical Institution of the country. It has the legacy to Institute of Postgraduate Medical Research (IPGMR) that was established in December 1965. Government converted IPGMR into a Medical University for growing the facilities for higher medical education and research in the country in1998. It got renamed to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University. By the Act 1, 1998 of Jatiyo Sangshad after the first President of Bangladesh, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
