Southeast University Location History and all Information
Southeast University is one of the leading private universities in
Bangladesh. It has started its journey in 2002 when this university was
founded. This university is located in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka,
Banani. And, the campus of this university is in the A.R. Tower, 24, Kemal
Ataturk Avenue, Dhaka 1213. The nickname of this university is SEU. Now, this
university was established by following the Private University Act 1992. And, the
Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh had approved it. The current
president Abdul Hamid is the Chancellor of SEU. And, Prof. Dr. Anwar
Hossain is the present Vice-Chancellor of this university.
Now, the Southeast
University has total 270 academic staffs. And, the number of the students
in this university is 12,500. The total enrollment of this university in 2007
was 6,000. This university’s motto is “Making the Leaders for tomorrow and

Tuition fees in Southeast University
Southeast University tuition fee structure for undergraduate students is
quite high. The CSE program has the total cost of 4, 88,600 Taka. And, the EEE
and Pharmacy has the total cost Tk. 5, 62,100 and Tk. 6, 18,100. Now, the
Textile, Architecture, and BBA will cost Tk. 5, 84,600, Tk. 6, 32,600, and Tk.
5, 33,600. And the last, the course LLB (Hons), BA in English, BSS in
Economics, and BA in Bangla will cost Tk. 4,75,600, Tk. 3,45,400, Tk. 3,48,100,
and Tk. 1,19,600.
Waiver for the Students in Southeast University
Southeast University has great waiver facility for the students. The students who obtained
GPA 5 in the HSC exam with the 4th subject
will get 100% scholarship. And, those who got 4.80-4.99 will have 80%
scholarship. The students with the GPA range of 4.50-4.79 and 4.00-4.49 will
get 40% and 20% scholarship.
Southeast University Admission Process
The students, who want
to get admit here, must have minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and HSC. But, total
combined GPA not less than 6.00 in both SSC and HSC.
